The cata valor/justice vendors in org or SW also sell a ton of epic and blue gear that has a ton of gem slots on it (cata blue gear has high vers and is better than the cata epics if you had to pick). The ICC justice vendors in dal have a lot of gear that can be used as well and is buyable for gold, not badges. I would run SOO Mythic it takes about an hour, you’ll get a full set of gear with gem slots (yeah it is technically lower ilvl than legion gear but with the gem slots it is actually better than legion gear in most cases). But if you build a time walking set it should also make a lot of this trivial. I’m not sure how legendaries/special affect items scale so those might be different. You gonna get your cds back ~40-50s into this phase, so dont be afraid to use CCs early on as your starfall aoe dmg should be enough to kill the hands while your stuff is on cooldown (if you need more dmg on them just spam wraths but always dump SS on the main boss)Ī few rules of thumb that are imo really important: save typhoon so you can soak the runes safely (same with dash) always use fury of elune+vortex together so you can get some very important cleave dmg in extreme cases you can eat a hand explosion with bear form+barkskin (not ideal bc you gonna spend at least 3gcds to heal you back up) keep the melee boss near so he doesnt do a weird pathing and close the distance on you ignore small adds, their only function is to panic you, just keep moving with stellar drift and use the downtime to refresh dots on both boss P3 you do everything you did on p2 but burn caster boss with incarn and ignore/cc melee dude as much as you can. Do as much st dmg on caster as you can, use SS gcds to move around and be ready to soak a rune on 3rd wave of adds (have typhoon up for this) At this point you should have done enough dmg to push next phase, if you happen to get a 3rd hand just dump SS on it and move on. 2nd one bring melee boss close to it, vortex them together and use FoE + 1 starsurge (thats usually enough if you target it and do some dmg with builders). What worked best for me: first hand you just beam and let it die to aoe dmg.
P2 is all about kiting and using your resources in a smart manner. First burn aim to get caster boss at least to 55% ideally 50 or lower (cd, drums pot) P1 is a non brainer, open with solar eclipse > FoE > typhoon, vortex, stun, kite and pool AP to burn. It definitely tests your capability of juggling all our utilities, but once you get the idea is basically a dance. Im also a main boomy and like many others on the discord have completed the challenge with relative ease.
